On behalf of the Core and Scientific Committees, we are very pleased to announce that HIV Drug Therapy in the Americas will take place between 13-15 June 2013 in São Paulo, Brazil.

This meeting builds on a well-respected congress which has run successfully for over two decades in Glasgow, UK. It is our intention to provide a relevant, meaningful and topical Scientific Programme for HIV clinicians and researchers across Latin America and beyond. There will be particular focus on regional issues and challenges, with the aim of providing practical support and advice to the assembled delegates through peer-to-peer discussion. A truly international faculty will gather to deliver plenary presentations; with no competing sessions we actively encourage full audience participation and interaction. Plenary sessions will be supplemented by integrated keynote lectures and symposia. Scientific abstract submission is welcomed for oral or poster presentation and time to facilitatie this has been set aside within the core programme. Networking is a key and valued feature of the Glasgow meeting and we very much hope that this meeting in São Paulo will offer the same.

Many of you will have attended and taken part in the Glasgow Congress and we look forward to welcoming you to this meeting in June 2013, together with many new delegates. With your support we very much hope that this Congress will reflect the real progress in the treatment of HIV infection being made not only globally but also within the region representing Latin America, the Caribbean and the Southern USA.
